The members of the Italian American Cultural Club Monday awarded 10 $1,000 scholarships to young people during a celebration held at the JeffCo Event Center on John Scott Highway. President Frankie DiCarlantonio welcomed those in attendance, telling them that each one of the student awardees that evening had been a Campo Italiano participant and youth leader over many years.
He also explained that the 10 scholarships that were awarded were made possible through the contributions of individuals who wished to honor their loved ones by supporting students in pursuit of higher education.
