A showcase of Italian culture will be celebrated at this community event. Italian Sons and Daughters of America, Joseph Johns Lodge 214 will hold its inaugural Greater Johnstown Italian Day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Windber Recreation Park, 160 Rec Road, Windber, PA.
The event will feature authentic Italian food and crafts, live musical entertainment, children’s activities and a basket raffle. “We want to pass on the heritage and tradition,” said Joanne DeBarto Smith, event chairwoman. “We want to have something fun and a gathering where people can communicate with one another. We want it to be family and friends.”
