Italian apples have secured another international success, confirming the country’s position as the world’s leading apple exporter by value for a second consecutive year. Results from the 2025/26 marketing season highlight an agricultural sector combining regional expertise, coordinated production, and an increasingly diversified customer base.
Italy accounted for 17% of global apple export value, ahead of the United States at 14% and China at 13%. The ranking measures export revenue, distinguishing this achievement from leadership in production or shipment volume. During the season, Italian exporters shipped approximately 1.06 billion kilograms of apples to 86 countries.
