Italy’s recreational boating industry has reached another milestone, confirming its position as one of the country’s most internationally successful manufacturing sectors. Figures presented around the 66th Genoa International Boat Show show total industry revenue reaching a record €8.72 billion in 2025 – up 1.4% from the previous year.
The strongest engine remains international demand. Italian shipbuilding exports reached an all-time high of €4.4 billion, increasing 2.6%, while approximately 90% of domestic boat production is destined for foreign markets. Italy now accounts for 21.3% of global recreational boat exports.
