An Italian-born musician, Mario Cianflone, a renowned accordionist, will be performing Sunday, September 27, at the Lake Vermilion Cultural Center in Tower, MN. The matinee performance will be at 2 p.m. His performance will focus on Italian music with additional speaking regarding the history of the accordion and some of Mario’s background.
Cianflone is widely recognized as a leading accordionist and music educator in the Midwest. Receiving his doctorate in music education from the University of Minnesota, his performance skills on the accordion reflect years of dedicated studies with master accordionist Larry Malmberg and distinguished composer Dominic Argento.
