The Italian Club of Dallas is proud to announce our Holiday donation list for this year. The board approved 3 charities this year. A $5,000 donation was presented to Special Olympics on November 19 at Lamberti’s from our ICD Bocce Tournament at the DFW Festival.
The two other donations are CCA (Children’s Cranial Association) and North Texas Food Bank. These two donations will be in memory of Ben Parlapiano who did so much as Outreach Committee Chair. He followed our mission statement especially “…to perform charitable works and foster social interaction within the community”
His efforts as chair were responsible for the ICD members and volunteers to help at events and support charitable organizations like Special Olympics, Hunger Busters, Children’s Craniofacial Association, welcoming soldiers at the DFW USO, “Toys for Tots” at Christmas to name a few. We added YMCA and North Texas Food Bank the last two years.
The Italian Club of Dallas executive board approved to give up to $1,000 each to these two charities; Children's Craniofacial Association and North Texas Food Bank.
