The West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival held its authors forum at the Clarksburg Harrison Public Library Tuesday evening, bringing writers, readers and community members together ahead of festival weekend. Stories of Italian American families, immigration, poetry and tradition filled the room during the event.
The West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival Authors Forum has become a long-running lead-up event to the annual celebration in downtown Clarksburg. Organizers say the forum gives authors a place to share work connected to Italy, Italian American identity and the generations of families who helped shape north central West Virginia.
