The 2026 Budget Law, approved late last year, includes a measure to finance the development and competitiveness of the Italian music system, including the production and organisation of contemporary music performances. The Ministry of Culture fund allocated an endowment of €1.5m annually, earmarked for companies in operation for at least a year to access the grant.
Italy’s national trade bodies have welcomed the fund, with Assoconcerti president Bruno Sconocchia hailing it as “a historic achievement for the entire sector”. “With this act, for the first time, the State concretely recognises the cultural, social, and economic value of a strategic sector not only for the entertainment world, but for the entire country,” Sconocchia says.
