In 2024 and 2025 the European organic agriculture sector reached new milestones, with overall consumption of organic food and beverages climbing to about €59 billion. Within this expanding market, Italy emerged as a clear leader, ranking among the top countries in both organic farmland and number of producers.
Across the European Union, land dedicated to organic farming totaled roughly 18.1 million hectares, confirming the steady consolidation of a sector that continues to gain economic and strategic relevance.
