Italy-USA: The Italian Cultural Society Gala at the Embassy in Washington

The 2025 Gala of the Italian Cultural Society (ICS), titled "From Earth to Art – Italy's Culture in Bites," was held on the evening of Saturday, November 8th, at the Italian Embassy in Washington. The event, organized by the nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the Italian language and culture, paid tribute to Chef Massimo Bottura, founder of Osteria Francescana, awarded three Michelin stars and twice named best restaurant in the world.

The ceremony was conducted by Amy Riolo, award-winning author, chef and television personality, who introduced the various stages of the evening and the Gala's guests of honor. Among the participants was also the Italian ambassador to the United States, Marco Peronaci, who, in a brief introductory speech, emphasized how "the profound relationship between Italy and the United States extends far beyond diplomacy, tradition, and politics, reaching the human and cultural dimension that unites our peoples.
