Vertical has acquired North American rights to Johnny Depp-directed Modi, which follows the life of Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani, played by Riccardo Scamarcio (John Wick: Chapter 2).
The film, which reunites Depp with Oscar winner Al Pacino (the two starred in Donny Brasco), also stars Antonia Desplat (Shantaram), Bruno Gouery (The White Lotus), Ryan McParland (Say Nothing), and Stephen Graham (Adolescence). Pic, which played at the 2024 San Sebastian and Rome Film Festivals, is set for a limited domestic theatrical run from November 7, 2025.
