The David Brearley gym recently came alive with the sights, sounds, and flavors of Italy as students from the middle school and high school celebrated Italian Heritage Night. Spearheaded by Italian language teacher Ms. Focht, the lively event brought the community together to honor Italian-American traditions and history.
Students showcased their work on Italian culture and guests were treated to a sweeping spread of traditional Italian desserts. Members from the Kenilworth Chapter of UNICO National, the nation’s largest Italian-American service organization, also attended to support the youth and share the nonprofit's mission of charitable giving, scholarships, and community service.
