Economic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, and changing trade rules have not stopped Italian companies from expanding internationally. Instead, many businesses are strengthening their presence abroad, treating overseas investment as a practical way to reach customers, protect supply chains, and remain competitive.
According to a 2026 survey of Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad, 51% of the network’s chambers reported that Italian companies intend to increase investment in foreign markets. Another 26% observed a more cautious approach.
