Italy’s industrial heritage is not only preserved in traditional institutions, but also through a widespread network of corporate museums that reflect the country’s entrepreneurial identity. At the center of this system is Museimpresa, a national association founded in Milan in 2001 by Assolombarda and Confindustria, which today connects more than 150 company museums and business archives across Italy.
These institutions represent companies of all sizes – from global brands to small, family-run businesses – and collectively safeguard a vast cultural and industrial legacy. Inside them, visitors can find machinery, tools, historic products, documents, photographs, and audiovisual materials that trace the evolution of Italian manufacturing over decades.
