Every year in Italy, each person discards more than 16 kilograms of electrical and electronic equipment – yet fewer than four-in-ten items are handled properly. Realising this gap, a new free app called MyRaee has just launched – one designed to make correct recycling not an extra task but a simple everyday choice.
Developed by the Ecoped and Ridomus consortia within the Hub SAFE ecosystem, and backed by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, MyRaee uses artificial-intelligence-powered visual recognition to identify unwanted electronics at a glance.
