New films, new venue mark start of Italian Cinema Series in Wilmington

By: Jack Polidori

The 14th annual Italian Cinema Film Series has re-located to a new venue and has announced the four movies for 2026. “The Screening Room at 1313, a two-theater venue popular among Wilmington area movie-goers, will be our comfortable new home,” said Anthony Albence, president of the Delaware Italian-American Education Association, a co-sponsor of the series with the Delaware Commission on Italian Heritage and Culture.

The Screening Room at 1313 is conveniently located in the former Hercules Building at 1313 N. Market St., and which served in October as the central location for the inaugural Wilmington International Film Festival.
