There are years when Easter arrives lightly, almost unnoticed, and others when it feels like something one has been waiting for without quite realizing it. This one seems to belong to the second kind.
Perhaps it is simply a matter of timing, or of mood, but the familiar presence of chocolate eggs in shop windows, wrapped in bright foil and arranged in colorful displays, carries a kind of reassurance that is difficult to dismiss; sure, it is not a grand comfort, nor a solution to anything in particular, yet it remains one of those small seasonal gestures that holds strong, and is still able to bring simple happiness in our lives.
