What a week it has been for jazz lovers in New York City. The Peperoncino Jazz Festival’s New York Session — an itinerant musical fair that for 25 years has been uniting communities across the Calabrian region of Italy, and now brings together the best of the New York and Italian jazz scenes, delivered yet another edition full of heat, soul, and transatlantic spirit.
The Italian Cultural Institute under the skilled directorship of the recently-appointed Claudio Pagliara once again proved itself an indispensable anchor for the festival, serving as a prestigious home dedicated to the enhancement and promotion of Italian culture in the United States.
