NIAF President & CEO Robert Allegrini recently had the privilege of addressing the US chapter of the United Italian Societies at the Opening Reception of its 2026 Italian Symposium in New York City.
The United Italian Societies is the largest network of Italian student societies around the world which has as its purpose connecting, supporting, representing and mentoring Italian university students studying abroad. The United Italian Societies reach 11,000 operating in over 50 societies in 8 countries.
At the Opening Reception of the 2026 Italian Symposium, President Allegrini dedicated his remarks to the Italian American exceptionalism that results when Italian students retain what is best from their native culture while also adopting what is most valuable from the American norms and traditions they experience while in the United States.
