San Morello at Shinola Hotel will bring its Festa di San Gennaro back to downtown Detroit on Saturday, Sept. 19, offering an evening of Italian American food, drinks and entertainment inspired by the longtime New York City tradition. The second annual celebration will run from 4 to 9 p.m., taking over San Morello’s dining room and outdoor patio along Woodward Avenue.
Chefs Andrew Carmellini and Ramon Amaut will be joined by several local chefs, including Cory Barberio of Angelo’s Fine Italian, Jared Gadbaw of Oak & Reel, Dean Nole of Cafe CaNole, and John Vermiglio and Joe Giacomino of Grey Ghost.
