After years of closure and a long restoration, Sant’Ivo alla Sapienza reopened to the public on 27 October 2026. Francesco Borromini‘s church, which overlooks the courtyard of Palazzo della Sapienza on Corso del Rinascimento, can be visited for free from Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 1:30pm.
Visitors are welcomed by volunteers from the Touring Club Italiano, who, as part of the Aperti per voi project, show them around the courtyard and the church. The reopening is the result of a collaboration between the Touring Club, the State Archives of Rome and the Diocese of Rome.
