On the July 9, 2024 issue, I wrote about the candidacy of Gibellina for the first edition of Italian Capital of Contemporary Art, scheduled for 2026. And the town in the province of Trapani did not miss its moment. It was selected.
Responding to the Ministry of Culture’s call to “encourage and support the planning and implementation capacity of Italian cities in the promotion and enhancement of contemporary art,” Gibellina has now honored its commitment to offer the territory and “the national and international artistic communityan opportunity to connect with the continuous creativity of art, an expression of confidence.”
