From the Consulate General in New York, together with all the Italian consuls in the United States, Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani announced the launch of the new Operations Room for Assistance to Italians Abroad (SOAI), which operates 24/7 to receive requests for assistance at any time from Italian nationals in difficulty abroad.
The aim of the Unit, which is part of the Directorate-General for Italians Abroad and Migration Policies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is to make the handling of requests for assistance increasingly effective and prompt, while also strengthening coordination with Italian Embassies and Consulates around the world.
