Italian automation specialist TecnoFerrari is bringing its engineering expertise closer to American manufacturers with a new Chicago-area headquarters for TF USA. The relocation from Tennessee to Illinois strengthens the company’s ability to support customers throughout the United States and Canada.
Inaugurated on October 17, 2026, the facility combines executive and sales offices with a substantial spare parts warehouse. Its proximity to O’Hare International Airport provides convenient connections across North America, supporting both business development and customer service.
The opening brought together employees, customers, industrial partners, and representatives of Italian machinery associations Acimac and Ucima.
Based in Fiorano Modenese, in Emilia-Romagna, TecnoFerrari was founded in 1966 to develop automated equipment for the ceramics industry. Its expansion into Illinois comes as the company marks 60 years of industrial innovation.
Today, its North American activities span 5 broad markets: paper and tissue, food and dairy, automotive, pharmaceuticals, and ceramics.
A central focus is intralogistics – the movement and management of materials inside factories. Manufacturers increasingly need integrated automation that improves production flows and can be implemented across multiple facilities.
Mattia Davoli, CEO of TF USA and customer service manager, identifies Chicago’s location and transportation network as major advantages for reaching customers in both countries.
Matteo Grigolo, branches director and sales area manager, highlights demand for efficient, repeatable automation as a key driver of regional growth.
The new base gives TecnoFerrari a stronger platform for connecting Italian engineering with North American manufacturing needs, building on decades of experience while creating opportunities for closer collaboration and continued growth.
