Transnational Italian Studies Wins Grant from Italian Ministry

Bryn Mawr’s Department of Transnational Italian Studies has once again received a grant from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Rome. Over the past 15 years, the department has successfully secured this same competitive grant five times, raising more than $50,000.

The grant was awarded to the department in recognition of its cutting-edge curricular innovations, including the design of courses that reflect the discipline’s transformation toward a more inclusive field, as well as mentorship programs that motivate and support students in fostering social change, diversity awareness, and a sustained commitment to linguistic and cultural diversity as an intellectual asset.
