The Italian Cultural Institute of Miami invites you to a chamber music concert, on Wednesday, May 6 at 6:00 PM in the event hall of the Steinway Piano Gallery, Coral Gables. Performing on stage will be the Trio Hèrmes, a young and internationally acclaimed ensemble, as part of a short U.S. tour that will also take them to New York City, where they have been invited by the local Italian Cultural Institute for a series co-organized with Carnegie Hall.
On the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence, this evening’s program has been designed to highlight the musical connections and exchanges between Italy and the United States throughout the 20th century. The audience will hear three rare compositions for trio by Ildebrando Pizzetti (1880–1968), Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco (1895–1968), and Leonard Bernstein (1918–1990).
