US Sicilians returns with season 2 bridging Sicily and the United States

By: We the Italians Editorial Staff

The second season of “US Sicilians,” a hybrid TV and digital series, is set to launch, continuing its focus on successful Sicilian Americans and their ties to their hometowns. The new run includes 8 episodes and premieres on April 21 at 8:30 pm on Tele One, a regional Sicilian broadcaster, with the finale scheduled for June 9.

The production once again connects Sicily with communities across the United States, highlighting stories of migration, identity, and achievement. Filming spans major U.S. cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and San Diego, after the crew logged more than 23,000 km traveling coast to coast during earlier work.

Each episode centers on one Sicilian town, tracing the origins of Italian American protagonists. Locations featured this season include San Giuseppe Jato, Torretta, Misilmeri, Trabia, and Palermo, along with Ferla, Galati Mamertino, and Rometta.

The format blends three core elements – personal storytelling, cultural exploration, and food traditions. Viewers follow individual journeys while also discovering historic landmarks, local art, and regional cuisine that define each community.

The first season delivered solid engagement, reaching about 370,000 views on Instagram and 20,000 on YouTube, confirming strong audience interest across platforms.

The project is designed as a cross-media experience, expanding beyond television through social channels and digital distribution, with a global reach. Looking ahead, a July 2026 contest will involve influencers, with 1 winner traveling to the U.S. in August to join production of season 3, expected to begin around Columbus Day.

Overall, the series continues to position itself as a cultural bridge, combining storytelling and promotion of Sicilian heritage with a contemporary, international format.
