The Slate Valley Museum in Granville NY will host a free trail walk program exploring the history of Italian immigrants and games on Tuesday, July 21 at 10am. Museum staff will lead walkers along a section of the nearby D&H Rail Trail during a discussion of the Italian immigrants who came to work in the region’s slate industry.
The program will include snippets of Italian history, immigrant culture, and the traditional Italian games that they brought with them to America. Weather permitting, participants will be welcomed to play an Italian game and explore the museum’s immigration exhibitions after the walk.
