Many communities across Somerset County have a strong Italian-American heritage, and All Saints parish invites to attend a presentation by an Italian-American author and historian. Stephanie Longo, an assistant professor at Penn State-Scranton and an expert in the Italian-American history of Northeastern Pennsylvania, will speak at 2 p.m. Sunday at All Saints parish, 505 Center St., Boswell (PA).
"Towns such as Boswell, Windber, Jerome and others in Somerset County have significant Italian-American communities that each have their roots in different regions of Italy, and as such, different customs," said the Rev. Aron Maghsoudi, parish priest.
