On Saturday, Nov. 15, at 1PM, Lawrence DiStasi will present an illustrated talk at the San Mateo History Museum, 2200 Broadway, Redwood City, CA. DiStasi will speak about his book Una Storia Segreta--the internments, evacuations, exclusions and restrictions on Italian Americans During World War II.
He will specifically address the category of "potential dangerousness" used to target enemy aliens during the war. The same strategy--dubbed "The Paradigm of Prevention" by filmmaker Adam Curtis--has been used in recent years to devastating effect.
The event is free and open to the public.
