On May 14 the Greater Washington, DC Region gathered for a special presentation and book signing by Amy Riolo. Amy's presentation displayed the health benefits of the Mediterranean diet, including the decreased chance of getting heart disease and the ability to reverse many modern diseases.
She shared many traditional Italian recipes rich in olive oil, nuts, beans, fish, and fruits and vegetables that encompass the elements of the Mediterranean Diet. Guests enjoyed refreshments as they watched her flavorful presentation. Overall, her presentation demonstrated that it is possible to eat healthy, balanced meals without sacrificing flavor.
