The saga between Ralph's Italian Ices & Ice Cream and the Village of Mamaroneck may be heating up just as summer comes to a close. Scott Rosenberg, owner of the seasonal store, which was shuttered last year due to a zoning battle with the village government, is now hoping to open in another part of the village.
Rosenberg submitted a preliminary application for a new 3,000-square-foot location at 407 Mamaroneck Ave. on Aug. 30. "We've done everything they've asked us to do," he said. "There should be no reason why they wouldn't let us open." The new location, Rosenberg said, would feature a Ralph's shop and a small snack bar serving acai bowls and other breakfast foods.
