American Airlines is relaunching at Rome Fiumicino where, starting next winter, the direct connection to Dallas Fort Worth will become annual "to meet the increased demand for flights between Rome and the United States," said Kyle Mabry, vice president - operations and commercial, Emea and Apac of the airline.

The first flight between Italy and Texas was introduced in June 2017 and was immediately a great success among both Italian and American passengers. We look forward to offering even more choice to passengers during the upcoming winter season."

"The extension during the winter season of the flight to Dallas - Fort Worth testifies to the potential of our market and the effectiveness of the historic partnership with American Airlines," added Federico Scriboni, head of Aviation Business Development at Aeroporti di Roma. "North America continues to represent the main long-haul segment for Rome, achieving a historic record in the current season thanks to a never-before-seen flight schedule. We are very pleased with this further development, which will help strengthen our positioning, supporting the trend of the progressive seasonal adjustment of flows and the enrichment of the year-round offer."

At the end of the 2023 summer season, connections between Rome Fiumicino and Dallas - Fort Worth will continue during the winter season with the only suspension scheduled in January and February 2024.

Dallas, American Airlines' main hub, offers passengers from Italy the opportunity to continue their journey with connecting flights to numerous final destinations between the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America. All flights between Rome and the United States of America are operated with Boeing 787 and Boeing 777 aircraft.
