Qs Ranking, the ranking of the world's best universities: Politecnico di Milano first in Italy, then La Sapienza and University of Bologna

Politecnico of Milan, then La Sapienza of Rome, and third the Alma Mater Studiorum of Bologna. Italian universities, year after year climb positions in the QS World University Rankings, which thus places Politecnico di Milano at the absolute first place in Italy, rising 16 positions over last year to 132nd in the world.

Just behind Sapienza, which ranks 134th, the best result ever obtained by the University in this ranking, rising to 2nd place in Italy followed in third place in the ranking by the University of Bologna (154th). In the global top ten, however, are American and British universities.

In this ranking, in addition to Milan, Rome and Bologna, the University of Padua (in fourth place in Italy, 219th on a global scale) and the Polytechnic University of Turin, which comes in fifth. There is, moreover, a new parameter in which Italian universities enter the top 100, that of "sustainability" from both the environmental and social points of view: Padua ranks 55th and La Sapienza 79th.
