“Little Venice” has been serving the Binghamton community with a taste of Italy for 78 years. Now, its rich history will be on display statewide. The restaurant has been placed on New York State’s Historic Business Preservation Registry, giving statewide recognition to its contributions to the community. Co-Owner Gina Minichino said the family-operated business is currently on its third generation.

“It’s been really important to us,” Minichino said. “We’ve been family owned and operated since 1946 in the same family providing the community with the same recipes, our famous tomato sauce, many of our original dishes like our meat logs which we’re known for.” Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo of New York’s 123rd District nominated Little Venice for this honor.
