At the Boys' and Girls' Towns of Italy (BGTI) Ball of the Year earlier this month, Rick Martellaro, President of Lathrop Construction Associates, was named the Man of the Year for his outstanding support of the organization. Over $100,000 was raised at the event as bidding wars were waged for honoree Mr. Martellaro's Bocce and Brunch item. All in all, BGTI was successful in raising $422,000 at the Ball of the Year! This impressive fundraising will go a long way to meet BGTI's mission of empowering war refugee, migrant and at-risk youth living on the streets in Italy through their innovative self-governance approach to youth development.
