Fog and drizzle put a damper on the pastels used by i Madonnari artists when they began on Friday night, but by Memorial Day their works of art looked like masterpieces.
More than 150 artists were chosen to take part in the 30th annual i Madonnari Italian Street Painting Festival in front of the Old Mission in Santa Barbara. They volunteered their time and talent. Many from out of town were given room and board during their stay in Santa Barbara.
