When she goes to Italy she doesn’t travel as just a tourist but as a “temporary Italian, as she would put it.” In today’s talk she will share with us those special places, people, food, wine and hidden nooks and crannies of her favorite country that make her so happy.

According to Dolly, Italy is a remarkable country, filled with interesting landscapes, hearty and friendly people, solemn and exquisite cathedrals, and artwork unsurpassed in any other Country. It also has more UNESCO World Heritage sites than any other country in the world. If you love to visit Italy or plan a trip, take a walk with Dolly on its cobblestone streets, hidden cafes, mountains and seashores, markets and Renaissance treasures.

Dolly’s affinity with Italy is best reflected in a three-line poem by Robert Burns, an Englishman who, with his wife, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, found his home in Florence. “Open my heart and you will see, Graved inside it, Italy.”
