Perfectly proportioned and scantily clad with wrinkle-free skin. And those are just the patrons. Excuse the joke. America’s modern stereotype of Los Angelenos pairs nicely with a dazzling exhibit on display through January 27, 2019 at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles: The Renaissance Nude.
With masterworks on loan from the Louvre, The Met, the National Gallery in Washington, D.C. and numerous other prestigious art museums across Europe and the U.S. – not to mention out of the personal collection of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II – a lifetime could be spent tracking these works individually across the globe. The show even boasts all four “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle” namesakes: Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello.
