Surliuga currently serves as an Associate Professor of Italian at Texas Tech University. She is a scholar of contemporary Italian poetry, modern and contemporary Italian art, Italian cinema as well as a poet and translator. She will briefly discuss the exhibition that she curated currently on view at the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts in Lubbock, Texas, Ezio Gribaudo's Theaters of Memory as well as the artist's prolific career. The White Magic of Ezio Gribaudo, a documentary directed by M. Agostinelli and A. Liuzza (2015, 33 min, in Italian with English subtitles), will also be screened.
