Gaiole Italy ran a follow up article to the first ever Eroica festival hosted in Paso Robles in April in their local Italian paper. L'Eroica become an event that combines two worlds: on the one hand Italy, with Gaiole in Chianti, which for twenty years has organized the cycling event, and the other the United States, with Paso Robles, California, where on April 12 hosted the first edition of Eroica California.
During the event, the Mayor of Gaiole in Chianti, Michele Pescini, was invited in the county town in San Luis Obispo County, on the western shore of the Pacific, from Mayor Steve Martin to "celebrate" the twinning of the two realities. Gaiole and Paso Robles are now "Sister Cities," and also signed a "Cooperation Intent," twinning the two entities as "sister cities," united not only by the heroic, the passion for cycling and the beauty of the landscape, but also from the production of wine and local oil.
