Acting workshop with Director Fernando J. Scarpa

January 29- March 19
Tue, 6-9 PM
Italian Cultural Institute
1023 Hilgard Ave Los Angeles, CA 90024

Award-winning Italian director Fernando J. Scarpa has worked in numerous plays, movies and TV productions throughout Europe and the U.S. He successfully teaches courses at UCLA Extension and produces and directs works in theater, movies and TV. His latest production, "Galileo", was a great success and set to re-open in Los Angeles this coming spring.

This eight-week workshop will help participants expand their acting skills and, very importantly, will teach them how to win the American and international audience in movies, theater and TV by working on the immensely rich and suggestive characters of Shakespeare's plays who have their roots into the tradition of Italian popular tales. Roles from 'Romeo and Juliet' 'Othello' 'The Tempest' 'The Two Gentlemen of Verona' and other plays will be available for the workshop.

The course will conclude with a final show performed in front of a live audience in the beautiful theater at the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles on March 19.
Fernando is also scheduled to direct 'Romeo and Juliet' in May 2013 for which casting is still open.
