Join the Italian Cultural Institute  at Villaggio Italia near the stunning Italian flagship Amerigo Vespucci for a special event on Friday, July 5 at 5:30pm PDT. Tickets available hereTorna a Casa (Come Back Home) is a heartfelt narrative performance inviting Italian emigrants worldwide to reconnect with their homeland.

Directed by Marco Savatteri, the event showcases 18 talented performers. In a symbolic segment, authorities and emigrants will sign the "Libro delle Radici", enacting a reverse Ellis Island and honoring those who left Italy. The experience culminates with a tasting of Italian dishes, prepared by U.S.-based chefs under the guidance of renowned chef Celestino Drago.

"Torna a Casa" is a project by Io Compro Siciliano / Made in Sicily and the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles, in collaboration with the Directorate General for Italians Abroad (DGIT) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

GETTING HERE

The Los Angeles waterfront is easily accessible by car from many locations in the region: it is only 25 miles from downtown Los Angeles and 18 miles from LAX airport.

For all visitors, there are three large free parking lots in the port area (5 minutes away), connected by a free shuttle that will take them directly to the entrance of Villaggio Italia:

• PARKING 1: Miner & Signal St.

• PARKING 2: 22nd & Miner St.

• PARKING 3: Cabrillo Marina

• PARKING 4: Topaz Building Garage on Centre Street between 5th and 6th. - Entrance next to Buono's Pizzeria Parking

San Pedro can also be reached using METRO, DASH or Commuter Express services.
