Following the acquisition of a major painting by Artemisia Gentileschi (1593-post 1654), the most famous woman painter of the Seventeenth Century Italy, Davide Gasparotto, Senior Curator of Paintings at the Getty Museum, will revisit Artemisia's life and career, situating the picture within her extraordinary artistic trajectory.
