Next time you're in the neighborhood, stroll a block east of St. Leo's Church to Stiles & Lloyd Streets to view this stunning 3D mural painted by internationally acclaimed muralist, CarlosAlberto Garcia-Hernandez. Sponsored by Little Italy Madonnari Arts Festival, the artwork was inspired by the Trevi Fountain in Rome and was painted on the wall of Hospital Support Services on Lloyd Street facing Stratford University.
A September 26th ribbon-cutting event attracted 150 attendees, many who photographed themselves in front of the finished artwork. The event included live music by Baltimore Jazz Alliance. "It really was a lovely day, exactly as we had envisioned it," said Cyd Wolf, mural organizer and executive producer of Madonnari Arts Festival held annually in Little Italy, "a safe gathering for the neighborhood and friends of Little Italy.
