Italian American Social Club of Waldwick celebrates a Waldwick tradition with roots dating back to 1925. The 9th Annual Ferragosto Family Picnic and Festa will be held on Sunday, August 21st in Waldwick Borough Park.

Each year its occasion of Assumption Day, observed by the Roman Catholic Church is presented by IASCW with music, bocce court and palio horse race games, a mozzarella making demo with tastings, plus face painting and coloring for the kids. Activities are highlighted by a mouth-watering memorable meal of homemade seasonal Jersey tomato sauce (no jarred stuff here!) that will top a unique imported pasta made fresh in the park over an open fire.
