Village Square was the site of the annual Spring Gala for the Italian Heritage Festival Saturday night. The night featured presentations of the new Regina Maria, the maids of honor, and the senior, junior, and minor courts. The new Regina Maria is Chelsea Boyles, a 23-year old from Shinnston.

She'll be officially crowned during the festival Labor Day weekend. She's currently a project cost analyst and aspiring country musician. The theme of the night was the Italian family. "The queen wanted to emphasize our heritage and how she grew up, going to her great-grandmother's house always surrounded by food.
