There won't be a Bayonne Columbus Parade this year.
A spokesman for the parade committee confirmed this week that the 33-year-long tradition is being put on hold this year, but the committee hopes to bring the parade back in 2014.
A rash of resignations from the committee's executive board this year made it impossible to do the necessary fund-raising and assign responsibilities to stage the event, parade committee member Jim Sucato said.
