Connie Chico Merandi will be the keynote speaker for the annual Italian American Women of Distinction Luncheon to be held Oct. 14 at the Uptown Event Center of Washington Avenue in Clarksburg, the Progressive Women's Association has announced.

The luncheon is held to recognize women in the area who contribute of themselves to improve the community. Merandi is a Morgantown native. She is married to Clarksburg native Frank Merandi and they are the parents of three children, Francesca, Gabrielle and Alexander.
