After 90 years, Donatelli's Italian Food Center will be closing its doors in Pittsburgh's Bloomfield neighborhood once the shelves are empty. Donatelli's grandfather opened the store on Liberty Avenue in 1932. Russell Donatelli had been running the business along with his father and brother, until they died recently.
"The store itself was designed for three people to run the store," Donatelli said. "Being that I'm the only one left, it's been very difficult."Donatelli said the pandemic made things more difficult, and the difficult time he has had hiring since.
